Kerry has been a practicing engineer in the commercial vehicle and equipment industry for over twenty-five years.  This commercial vehicle and equipment experience includes more than a decade of service to Navistar / International Truck and Engine in their Product Integrity Group, investigating, researching, analyzing, reporting, and testifying regarding potential claims and litigation issues.  These claims and litigation issues included fire origin and cause determination, allegations of product non-performance, and allegations of product defects. 

He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Kentucky and has held various engineering product design and development positions with major manufacturers of commercial vehicles and commercial vehicle and equipment component suppliers in the United States.  Through this experience, he has worked closely with commercial vehicle and equipment manufacturers throughout North America, Asia, and South America utilizing his bilingual English and Spanish language skills.

Kerry has been an active member of the SAE Motor Vehicle Fire Investigation Task Force contributing to the 2008 and 2011 Editions of NFPA 921 Guide for Fire and Explosion Investigations.  He is a Certified Fire and Explosion Investigator and a Certified Vehicle Fire Investigator and holds a Class “A” Commercial Driver’s License, with multiple endorsements, and held an ITAR security clearance.  He has investigated hundreds of commercial vehicle and equipment fires and numerous other forensic engineering failure analysis projects.  His forensic and fire investigations have extended across the United States and Canada, with testimony in courts across the US.  

An in-depth knowledge of claims and litigation processes comes from extensive experience as a manufacturer’s corporate representative and engineering expert, with responsibility for conducting failure analysis  inspections, warranty analysis and other research, legal discovery, engineering reports, depositions, and trial testimony, as required.
 
His broad perspective of commercial vehicle and equipment is aided by extensive vehicle engineering experience in the design, test, application, reliability, quality, failure analysis, and manufacture of major vehicle components.  He has  managed various commercial vehicle export programs ensuring the vehicles meet safety and performance standards of various countries.  Additionally, he worked as a vehicle mechanic while attending college and is currently involved with several automotive restoration projects.
